The Brook helps New Hampshire break all-time sports betting record

8 Mar 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- On the heels of New Hampshire hitting all-time highs for monthly sports betting revenue, The Brook, a 90,000 square-foot casino and entertainment destination located minutes from the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border, is anticipating record crowds next week for its College Hoop Viewing Parties inside the DraftKings Sportsbook, the largest of its kind in New England, and the new Seasons Showroom.

The New Hampshire Lottery announced earlier this month that the state set a monthly gross gaming revenue record for sports betting in January 2023 with $12.3 million. The total handle was $97.1 million and, as a result, the state of New Hampshire collected $5.6 million in tax revenue from sports betting in January.

“In New England, people love to watch sports, and as these numbers show, people love to bet on sports,” said Andre Carrier, CEO of The Brook and native New Englander. “When we built The Brook, we wanted to give New Englanders the biggest and best place to watch and bet on sports. We did that when we launched the DraftKings Sportsbook. We expanded it when we launched the largest sports bar in New England, Victory Kitchen, and now we are expanding again with the state-of-the-art viewing environment we’ve created in our new Seasons Showroom. With our unique ‘stadium-style,’ tiered-viewing environment, The Brook is the next best thing to being at the game.“

Beginning with the tip-off of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 16, The Brook will host daily, wall-to-wall viewing parties in both the DraftKings Sportsbook and Seasons Showroom through Sunday, March 19. Doors open each day at 9 a.m.

The massive sportsbook features seating for hundreds of sports fans with three oversized cinema screens, more than 200 individual TV monitors, surround sound, and VIP seating with plush couches, tables and full-service food and beverage. The more intimate Seasons Showroom, which attracts a regular schedule of tribute bands and headliners, will be open for all of the NCAA basketball action with large-screen, video wall TVs, comfortable couch seating and booths, high-top tables, a dedicated bar area, and multiple VIP sections.

The Brook, a 75-acre property that sits 40 miles from Boston and an easy drive for most residents of Massachusetts and Maine, unveiled an expanded gaming area last year and added over 500 popular gaming machines as it became the first casino in the state to offer Historical Horse Racing machines. The casino floor also has table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, and Cajun Stud and the state’s only Stadium Gaming area with live dealers and digital screens. Simulcast racing is available seven days a week and there is also an 18-table poker room that runs daily cash games and giveaways.

Using a charity casino model, The Brook has distributed over $9 million to local organizations such as Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie’s Angels, and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheel since Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort acquired the property in 2019.
