SWEDEN -- Swedish minors will be prevented from buying scratch cards from the lottery from Oct 1, 2010, The Local reported.

The aim of this policy is to reduce the risk of later problem gambling habits, The Local said.

The new rule provides challenge for charity fundraising because it is forbidden for anyone under 18 to buy or sell the scratch tickets, which had been a popular sports club fundraiser, according to The Local report.
