Still no decision on new casino in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kansas -- As reported by KOAM TV: "Penn National Gaming requested a meeting Monday with county commissioners for an update.
"The commission met with representatives from Penn National as well as attorney, David Cooper, who was hired by Penn to advise the county.
"...Penn National says it is not sure if it will go forward with it's plans to build in Cherokee County, or if it will pull out altogether, after losing out to Harrah's Entertainment to build in Sumner County.
"...Attorney David Cooper says he hopes Penn National will make a decision by October 3..."
