Station Casinos seeks bigger gaming overlay

NEVADA -- Station Casinos will ask the Henderson City Council on Oct. 21 to expand a gaming overlay from 37 acres to the full 45-acre parcel the company acquired last year.
The locals casino company bought the land, which is in the 2,000-acre Inspirada master plan, from Focus Property Group in November for $71 million.
Henderson officials approved an application filed by Focus for gaming on 37 acres in November 2006.
Station Casinos spokeswoman Lori Nelson described the request as "cleaning up the paperwork trail with the city."
The gaming company has no immediate plans to develop the parcel.
