Station Casino Plan Opponents Call Voters

NEVADA – As reported by the KVBC-TV News: " Opponents of a casino project in Summerlin are turning up the heat. They say a three hundred foot tower is too tall for their neighborhood. Today, they called more than two hundred and fifty thousand registered voters in Clark County. A pre-recorded message asked people to oppose the project. Station Casinos plans to build Red Rock Station at the corner of Charleston and I-215. News 3's Dana Wagner reports it'll be a large casino with movie theaters, restaurants and possibly an amphitheater.

"They also want to build a three hundred foot tower on the property, and opponents of the project say that's way too high, saying it'll block the view of Red Rock, which is located just on the other side of 215. So now, a group of highly motivated neighbors, environmental groups and a local union are banding together to bring this project down to size.
