Stanley Launches UK's First Text Gambling Service

UK -- 2nd June, 2004 -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Stanley Leisure and M-Connected have launched TXT2BET, a service to allow UK mobile phone users to place sports bets via SMS text.
The service offers punters the same choice of betting options and odds that are available to Stanley's online customers, with the added benefit of being able to bet anytime, anywhere.
"Text traffic soars during any major UK or international sporting event, and with the increasing popularity of gaming, it makes sense to offer the ease and convenience of text betting to UK football fans," said Chris Brown, director of non-retail business at Stanleybet.
