Sportsbook.com posts odds for Eastwood film

NEW YORK – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Based on the bestselling novel by James Bradley with Ron Powers, Clint Eastwood's latest epic Flags of our Fathers is set for release on October 20. Sportsbook.com has posted odds on the opening weekend gross for the wartime flick and odds makers are already anticipating big numbers at the box office.

The world's largest online sportsbook and casino has set over/under odds on the film generating $14 million in its first weekend, with the over/under line set at -120.

The film takes place in 1945 at the height of the war in the Pacific, chronicling the lives of six men as they take part in the struggle for the island of Iwo Jima. The battle culminated in what would become one of the most iconic war images in history: raising the American flag on Mount Suribachi.

Flags of our Fathers, which made the New York Times Bestseller in 2000, is produced by filming legends Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby), Stephen Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan), and Rob Lorenz (Mystic River). Also in the film is Ryan Phillipe (Crash), Adam Beach (Windtalkers), Jesse Bradford (William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet), Jamie Bell (King Kong), and Ben Walker (The Magician).
