Sports Interaction offering "Tebowing" odds
12 Jan 2012
Sports Interaction Sportsbook & Racebook is offering odds on which of the Patriots will celebrate a touchdown against the Broncos by Tebowing in the endzone.
"Stephen Tulloch of the Lions mimicked Tebow after sacking the Denver quarterback so why not try it as a touchdown celebration?" says Al Dannity, a spokesman for Sports Interaction.
Rob Gronkowski, at +400, is the Patriot considered most likely to Tebow but Dannity says there are plenty of New England players that might copy the former Gator's stance.
"Tom Brady made a statement with his touchdown celebration when the Pats beat the Broncos in the regular season," says Dannity. "Chad Ochocinco is always a threat to do ruffle some feathers in the endzone, although #85 would have to get there first!"
Sports Interaction has seen no signs of Tebow effect since it made New England a -13.5 favorite against Denver in the game on Saturday night. "The fact you can take Denver with 13.5 points, rather than 14, is our one concession to Tebowmania," says Dannity.
Sports Interaction reports that the early action has been steady so far, with very few bettors interested in taking Denver to win outright. "Maybe Brady's been a good boy this year too," says Dannity. "We have to take that into account as well, you know."
