Splash Sports Launches QuickPicks in New York

2 Mar 2026

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Splash Sports, one of the leading peer-to-peer fantasy sports and skill games platforms in the U.S., is now approved to offer QuickPicks, Splash’s version of DFS in New York State, in addition to its already-established Tiers, One and Done and Survivor paid fantasy contests. Following approval from the New York State Gaming Commission in 2024, Splash is the first new licensed fantasy sports operator in New York in nearly a decade and only the second licensed fantasy operator to offer a player pick’em style game in the state.

The platform, which launched following the acquisition and subsequent integration of RunYourPool (RYP) and OfficeFootballPool (OFP) – leaders in free-to-play games – boast a combined two million-plus users, spanning 40 U.S. states (and D.C.) and Canada (excluding Quebec) following its July 2023 launch. As of December 23, 2024, those users in New York can now participate in Splash Sports’ popular One and Done, Tiers, and licensed player pick’em daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests.

“New York is a vital state for us,” said co-CEO TJ Ross. “New Yorkers are passionate about their sports teams and ultra-competitive, as demonstrated on our entertainment-only platforms RYP and OFP. Expanding our paid football, basketball, baseball, golf and hockey contests — including our licensed player pick’em games — to the Empire State marks an important step in our growth strategy.”

“After receiving the first fantasy license awarded in NY in nearly a decade last year, we are now excited and ready to launch Splash’s player games,” said co-CEO Joel Milton. “We’ve worked hard to build an industry-leading fantasy site that not only provides a great user experience but also proactively protects its players and promotes responsible gaming habits. It’s great that our hard work has been recognized by the New York State Gaming Commission.”

Unlike many fantasy and pick’em platforms, Splash’s contests are entirely peer-to-peer, meaning participants compete against one another and not against the house. Commissioners can create private groups, customize contest settings, build communities, and interact directly with their players.
