South Korea: 31 arrested in volleyball match-fixing scandal

SOUTH KOREA -- A match-fixing scandal has broken in South Korea involving volleyball and professional baseball, Arirang News reported.

31 people have been arrested and charged including 16 volleyball players and two baseball players, the report said.

Others arrested included gamblers and bookies, Arirang said.

The scandal may involve 23 matches, the report noted.
