(PRESS RELEASE) -- Ukrainian player ‘solik1968’ is PokerStars’ newest millionaire, after winning $1 million in the PokerStars Dream Team Collection promotion. ‘solik1968’ was one of 387,668 players that participated in the PokerStars Dream Team Collection promotion, representing the highest participation of all time for a PokerStars.com promotion. Of that number, 277,105 players went on to win one or more prizes in the promotion, and PokerStars gave away $3,988,231 in direct cash prizes and cash prizes via tournaments.

The promotion saw PokerStars ambassadors and international football stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr and Ronaldo Nazário front the campaign, offering players the chance to win signed merchandise and $1 million in the final All-In Shootout tournament. It took place shortly after PokerStars launched its biggest marketing campaign in history, which featured Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr.

A total of 47 lucky players cashed in their Golden Tickets for a seat at the final, but Ukrainian player ‘solik1968’ emerged as the victor and PokerStars’ newest millionaire less than eight minutes after the tournament began.
