SkyCity Entertainment appoints Chief People and Culture Officer

(PRESS RELEASE) -- SkyCity Entertainment announced the appointment of Shaun Philp to the role of Chief People and Culture Officer effective 4 September 2023, subject to obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals.

Philp is a senior human resources executive with experience in supporting leadership and culture transformation, innovation, and business execution strategies across the telecommunications, financial services, and infrastructure sectors. He joins SkyCity from Chorus New Zealand Limited where he has held the role of Chief People Officer since 2017. Prior to this, Philp held senior leadership roles across Australia and New Zealand, including General Manager Human Resources and AMP New Zealand.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a graduate of executive management programs at the Harvard Business School and the London Business School.

Greg McNair, currently General Manager Employee Services – People & Culture Auckland at SkyCity, has been appointed as Acting Chief People and Culture Officer in the interim, effective 27 March 2023.
