Sky Poker unveils Christmas tournament series

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- As part of their series of promotions leading up to the Christmas holidays, online poker group, Sky Poker, are delighted to unveil a special Christmas edition of their popular Online Poker Series game, giving players an even greater chance of winning fantastic cash prizes.

The 'Xmas UK Online Poker Series' will see four separate events, totalling GBP 100,000 in guarantees, run between the 27th and 30th December 2011. Each event, starting at 8pm, offers players a fantastic cash prize (see schedule below). There's also an additional GBP 72,000 up for grabs in Sky Poker's popular side events, which run alongside the main series tournaments. In total, Sky Poker is giving away a whopping GBP 172,000 over four days - now that's a nice Christmas cracker!

As with the original Online Poker Series, there will be satellites into each of the main events, allowing players of even the smallest bankroll to take their shot at winning the big cash prizes on offer. The UK Online Poker Series 'semis' as they're called will run every night at 9pm, costing players GBP 24 to buy-in and play. However, even if that's still a little too highly priced, Sky Poker is running satellites into the semi tournaments as well, which means players could feasibly enter the 9pm tourneys for as little as GBP 2.70!
