Sky Bet predict 2/1 Brit to win at Silverstone

8 Jul 2011

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Online sports betting firm Sky Bet offer 2/1 that the winner of this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone is from the UK.

Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Scotland's Paul di Resta will be flying the flag for Britain as the home supporters hope to see a first home winner at Silverstone since Hamilton's success in 2008.

The three British drivers are available in Sky Bet's latest British Grand Prix betting markets at 4/1, 8/1 and 500/1 respectively to win the race on Sunday.

Sebastian Vettel remains the firm favourite after his impressive win in the European GP in Valencia and is 4/5 to do the same in the British GP.

Vettel has been dominant in qualifying this season and is as short as 1/2 to start the race from pole position after seven wins in eight qualifying sessions. Sky Bet offer each-way betting on the first three places for qualifying at 1/5th of the odds.
Punters looking to throw their cash behind the McLarens can pick from a range of F1 bets about Hamilton including 1/7 to finish in the points, 8/13 to finish on the podium, 4/1 to set the fastest lap and 50/1 to be caught speeding in Pit Lane during the race.
