Sky Bet offering plenty of Rooney bets

(PRESS RELEASE) -- After picking up a card for dissent during England's practice match against the Platinum Stars, Wayne Rooney's odds of being sent off in England's World Cup opener against the USA are a 25/1 chance with Sky Bet Sports.

Rooney wrapped up England's victory over the South African outfit but his foul language to referee Jeff Selogilwe has once again sparked concern over his temper. It's 8/1 that the Manchester United striker is booked for dissent against the Americans on Saturday. After being sent off in 2006 for stamping on Portugal defender Ricardo Carvalho, Rooney is 5/1 with Sky Bet to be sent off at any time during the tournament.

Sky Bet's football betting spokesman Mike Triffitt said: "Despite improving his discipline tremendously over the last few years, Rooney's hot headedness could pose problems in the heat of the finals and the 5/1 for him to see red in South Africa could be a decent bet."
