OTTAWA, Canada -- A bill introduced into the House of Commons could see single-event sports betting legalized, Kamloops This Week reported. The bill, introduced by Joe Comartin the NDP MP for Windsor-Tecumseh (Ontario), is supported by the Canadian Gaming Association, the report said.
The inability to legally bet on single games (illegal means of betting are popular and possible) drives Canadian gamblers to US casinos and Canada's gaming economy loses out, Kamloops This Week said.
