SINGAPORE -- Singapore is moving to legislate on remote gambling, which covers gambling on the internet, telephone or mobile platforms, Channel News Asia reported. The government introduced legislation today under the Remote Gambling Bill that will disallow such, the report said.
The legislation comprehensively gives the government the power to block any activity that even partly takes place in Singapore, even if gamblers are based elsewhere, so this will include blocking access to websites, Channel News Asia said.
