TORONTO, Ontario -- Shares in Amaya Gaming Group hopped up 18 percent this week, the National Post reported.

The share price increase followed the approval of its purchase of Rational Group, the report said.

Amaya's share price hit C$30.60 following this news, according to the National Post.
