Separated player pools at iPoker starting September 4th

(PRESS RELEASE) -- iPoker introduced a new network policy for all its poker rooms that started July 1st 2012. During the past two months, player activity in every poker room has been measured and then, based on these statistics, all cash game and SNG players will be divided into two liquidity pools starting September 4th. The only exceptions will be speed poker (Speed Hold’em / Speed Omaha) cash tables and multi-table tournaments, where there is no separation.

There are two network performance criteria: 1) Liquidity by which poker rooms need to have a minimum volume of 6,000 monthly active real money players; 2) Acquisition by which poker rooms need to have a minimum volume of 850 monthly new active real money players.

Poker rooms which will meet these criteria will form the main liquidity pool and all the other poker rooms will form the second liquidity pool. Presumably only a few big poker rooms are able to exceed the above thresholds, so the majority of poker rooms, all middle- and small-sized ones, including Olympic-Online Poker, will be in the second liquidity pool.

Only regular network cash tables will be included in the split:

• All NLH HU tables, from 0.02/0.04 and above, in all currencies;
• NLH 6-Max tables, from 0.01/0.02 up to 2/4, in all currencies;
• NLH Full Ring tables, from 0.01/0.02 up to 1/2, in all currencies.

All other cash tables which are not mentioned above, will be fully shared across the entire network.

Only regular network SNG’s will be included in the split. Jackpot SNG’s, promotional SNG’s, and satellite SNG’s will remain on a network wide liquidity share.

• All NLH HU SNG’s will be partitioned, up to a buy-in level of $30 / €30 / £30 (fees included);
• All NLH 6/9 SNG’s will be partitioned, up to a buy-in level of $10 / €10 / £10 (fees included).

All other SNG’s which are not mentioned above will be fully shared across the entire network.
