The Millionaire Grand Final tournament lasted 90 minutes, meaning the player earned over $11,000 per minute while becoming the 201st poker millionaire made at the world's largest online poker room.
The winner maintained a strong chip position for the majority of the tournament. He described the success, saying, "The tournament went well. Players were mostly sitting and waiting for good hands, but I tried to play more often and steal some blinds — everything went great!"
"nick2101983" secured the seat at the Millionaires Grand Final in just two days by completing the Spin & Go 2x Daily Challenge and Millionaire Grand Final Daily Qualifier. The player told his mother and nobody else that he had the chance of becoming a millionaire because he wanted to keep luck on his side, which clearly worked. The poker player, who works as a captain's assistant on a ship, plans on celebrating the win by buying an apartment and a new car.
Who will be next?
No one walked away empty handed. All 42 participating players were awarded a $1,050 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) ticket that can be used in the Phase 1 High event running daily, culminating in a tournament on 21 May at 12:30 ET with a top prize of $1 million guaranteed for the winner, giving all players involved another chance at becoming a millionaire.

The PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion aims to make 10 millionaires in just 10 weeks, and has already created two millionaires. The first millionaire of the PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion was "Xavi666" from Panama, who won the Sunday Million 11th Anniversary tournament for $1,093,204 on 2 April. Other ways to win $1 million in the PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion are via $10 Spin and Gos, in the PokerStars Championship Super High Roller from 27-29 April and High Roller from 3-5 May at PokerStars Championship, presented by Monte Carlo Casino, and in the Main Event 55-H and the 01-H Phase 2 SCOOP events on 21 May.
