Scientific Games Signs 5-Year Deal

18 Jul 2005

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Scientific Games Worldwide Sports Limited and Autotote Enterprises Inc., divisions of Scientific Games Corporation (Nasdaq: SGMS), and Tote Investments Racing Service announced today the completion of a five-year deal for Scientific Games Worldwide Sports Limited and Autotote to supply simulcast services at Tote Investments Racing Service simulcast centers on the island of Barbados. The estimated contract value is $5 million over the five-year term of the agreement.

Tote Investments has operated simulcast facilities on Barbados for the past 30 years. Services are expected to commence in early August.

Rick Pullman, President of Autotote, stated, "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to support Tote Investments Racing Service and provide them with both North American and European racing action. Tote Investments, led by its president Saffie Joseph, has a long tradition of European racing industry involvement. We hope to extend the successes we have enjoyed in our other recent Caribbean launches in St. Croix and the Bahamas to our new racing partners in Barbados."

"We know that the increased availability of North American racing will broaden the player base and will provide increased attraction to an already strong pari-mutuel market in Barbados. We intend to create high-tech simulcast centers by deploying the latest in video and wagering technology. This deal further emphasizes our efforts to leverage Autotote's simulcast expertise as an operator and increase returns from existing markets."

Saffie Joseph, President of Tote Investments Racing Service added, "We are excited about joining forces with Scientific Games, clearly the leader in pari-mutuel service support worldwide. We look forward to broader content, greater levels of wagering and increased customer satisfaction as a result of this new relationship."

Autotote Enterprises operates the Connecticut OTB system with 11 locations throughout the state including Sports Haven in New Haven and the Bradley Teletheater. Autotote and Scientific Games Worldwide Sports Limited also provide venue management services to the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, the Isle of Capri Casino at Our Lucaya in Freeport, Grand Bahamas, the Divi Carina Bay Resort in St. Croix and the Randall James Racetrack and Simulcast Center in St. Croix.
