Saratoga Casino Holdings ups commitment to Natchez community

“An overarching goal of our company is giving back to the communities in which we operate,” said Sam Gerrity, Chief Executive Officer of Saratoga Casino Holdings LLC. “Throughout our history we’ve given over $3 million to organizations whose core missions are to improve the quality of life in their local communities. That same value holds true here in Natchez, a community in which we consider ourselves honored to be a part of.”
Aside from contributing over $75,000 this year to community events through sponsorships, charitable giving and volunteerism, Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel is also the sole contributor to the Natchez Community Development Fund allocated for economic and community development. In 2022, the property donated $243,000 to the fund. A portion of those dollars have gone toward the recent reopening of the North Natchez Youth Center as well as the ongoing renovation of the Duncan Park Clubhouse. The donation for 2023 will increase to $273,000.
“The people of Natchez have been extremely welcoming and I truly enjoy being a part of this community,” said Tim Morrissey, Vice President and General Manager of Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel. “I take great pride in being an active member of many local organizations and look forward to leading the Community Development Fund to achieve the best benefit for the local community.”
Along with the increase in the Community Development Fund, Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel is celebrating with a Player Appreciation event on Tuesday, 3 October. Visitors to the property can enjoy complimentary cupcakes and champagne at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Guests may also get lucky when they visit, to date this year Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel has awarded $9.4 million in jackpots.
