Sands Casino server hacked last February

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Las Vegas Sands had to contend with a serious hacker attack earlier this year in February, Bloomberg reported.

The cyber assault on the Sands server saw technology that supports most functions of their various operations crash, the report said.

The attack did not intend to steal customer information, data or cash but instead cause chaos and it's alleged punish CEO Sheldon Adelson for public remarks he made about Iran, Bloomberg said.

It is suspected the hack originated in Iran, the Bloomberg report noted.
