Exploring trends across multiple categories, including Kitchenware, Electronics and Fashion, the data identifies the brands and products that were most popular among casino audiences throughout the 2018 holiday season.
The data underscores Rymax’s knowledge base as a merchandise expert, while reiterating the importance of understanding what players desire, and the need to offer them a variety of product rewards from brands they love.
Key findings indicate that Kitchenware, Electronics and Fashion are the three categories that continue to dominate player redemptions. In fact, Kitchenware ranked as the top redemption category with 31% of all player redemptions, followed by Fashion with 29% and Electronics with 27%. With the evolution of wireless earbuds and advancements in wireless speakers, players have a renewed focus on the audio category. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, as people grow more health-conscious and the foodie generation continues to thrive, consumers are seeking healthy options to eat at home and are turning to their favorite celebrity chef for inspiration on clean eating habits.

- Audio products made up 39% of all redemptions in the Electronics category, with players prioritizing headphones at 49% of audio redemptions.
- Of all redemptions in the Fashion category, 32% were from Jewelry & Watches, followed by handbags which made up 31%.
- The top Kitchen brands that players redeemed for include Capresso, Cuisinart and Hamilton Beach. The most popular celebrity cooking brands include Ayesha Curry, Jamie Oliver, Ken Hom and Rachael Ray.
