The player, who wishes to remain anonymous, won $497,152 on a single hand on Saturday night after hitting the table's progressive jackpot. He drew a 10, king and ace of spades, which combined with the queen and jack of spades in the dealer's bonus hand to make a royal flush. It was the largest jackpot paid since Rivers Casino opened in February.
Four other players at the table bet the progressive and all received a $5,000 "envy" payout.
"Having many ways to play means many ways to win, and at Rivers Casino, we love a winner," said Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady General Manager Mary Cheeks. "We have paid out nearly $20 million in jackpots alone since opening, and we look forward to celebrating even more winners."
A jackpot is a win of $1,200 or more.
