The new venue will include 12 poker tables and six traditional gaming tables, along with the full service sports bar featuring 40 televisions and three projector screens. Greg Barber, General Manager of River Casino, who led the effort to move to Nashua said, "We are thrilled to bring our brand of casino entertainment to Nashua. It's a great location to provide the gaming opportunity to a bigger audience and allows us to offer a wide selection of food, drinks and other amenities."
Last year, River Casino paid out over $3 million in cash prizes to lucky gamers while continuing its dedication to charities across the region. Since its inception, River Casino has donated over $2.6 million to nearly 75 nonprofits. Benefitting charities include animal protection groups, veteran's organizations, student athletics, church programs, food pantries and dozens more.
Reverend Dr. Robert Odierna (Reverend Odie) from the Church of the Good Shepard and the Front Door Agency in Nashua was one of the first charities to sign up nine years ago with New Hampshire Charitable Gaming. Reverend Odie said, "The backers and the operating team at the River Casino in Milford have been a pleasure to work with and helped us raise money that has funded many important programs for the Nashua community. They run their business in a responsible and transparent manner, and have always done what they say they would and operate with integrity."
River Casino expects both its prizes and charitable giving to triple in size at the new location. "We have a great place here in Nashua and we want our customers to walk through the doors and have a fun and exciting gaming experience, while knowing we are giving back to our community," Barber said.
The River Casino is operated under the rules and regulations of New Hampshire Racing and Gaming, which is part of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. All employees and management are licensed by the Lottery Commission.
