RedKings launches Strobe fast-fold poker variation

5 Mar 2013

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Following in the footsteps of successful high-speed online poker brands such as Rush and Zoom, Strobe Poker has been launched today at RedKings Poker.

Strobe poker is the fast-fold poker variation that will benefit from the pooled liquidity of the whole Ongame Network.

Strobe will also be available on RedKings Android devices, both smartphone and tablet, where players tend to be more casual and will really appreciate the speed because of time constraints while playing poker on the go.

Commented Richard Owens, New Product Manager at RedKings.com, "Strobe is much faster poker because you literally have new opponents for every new hand. Fold your hand and you are moved immediately to a new table with all the other players in the pool who have folded as well."

Strobe will initially be available at two levels, and with only five seats at each table fast and furious action is guaranteed. Players using Strobe will be able to enjoy the recently released Instant Rewards program and all player points collected will count toward bonuses and RedKings VIP Cash back. And the rake on these tables has been lowered as well!

Kicking off a number of huge promotions to introduce Strobe poker to its players, the RedKings $15,000 Strobe Challenge starts 11th March. Players at the Strobe tables need to rake only 10 Strobe hands to win a ticket to a $2,500 Freeroll, and finishing in the top 500 Race leaderboard wins them a share of $12,500.

Added Owens, "Fast-fold or speed poker has developed into a hugely successful derivative in its own right which industry observers now claim is around 30% of the revenues generated in cash games. We are delighted to offer Strobe to our poker players and especially to our ever-growing base of smartphone and Tablet users. Fast poker and your mobile device - a match made in Heaven!"
