Rebecca Liggero
Rebecca Liggero loves meeting new people and traveling – perfect qualities for someone who has won friends and influenced people in the worldwide online gaming community. After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true! Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family. One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, CalvinAyre.com. In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane." Contact Rebecca at rebecca@liggero.net. Be careful, though – she might quote you.

Rebecca and Kate do Vegas

Rebecca and Kate do Vegas

There are very few people in this world that I love as much as Kate Garber, Affiliate Director of Wager Profits. Thank god for that considering we spent a consecutive 96 hours together in glorious Las Vegas. Oh what fun we had even though the midgets were nowhere to be seen, there was no time for a trip to the wolf sanctuary, and my cell phone screen decided to break on the first day. No phone numbers or text messages for me. What perfect timing. Anyway, here we go again, back from another online gaming adventure with a censored list of highlights for all to enjoy.

Sapphire Party and Lap Dances.
The Bluff Media Party at Sapphire, sponsored by PlayersOnly.com, was an absolute blast...from what I can remember. Whoops. I guess that's what happens when you're thrown into a room full of 1,000 men, and open bar, and a selection of strippers. Getting a bit too drunk and getting a lap dance, that is. I'm not sure who is responsible for treating me to this lovely experience, but apparently I enjoyed it, so thanks...I guess. If you would like a glimpse into my little poker player and stripper world, please take a look at this video clip from the evening. I know it's a bit long, so simply fast forward to the 1 minute and 23 second mark and go from there- it's the best part for sure.

Vegas is Hot. And Full of Meat.
It was 120 degrees in Vegas, an actual record breaking temp for this time of year. You step outside at 4am and its still 100+ degrees...I mean, how is that possible? Another wonder of Vegas is the abundance of food and drink- so many fancy restaurants, late night diners, buffets, room service, french fries, chicken wings, chicken quesadillas, meat, and men. I mean, alcohol. To supplement my statement, I would like to include a post-Vegas quote from Action Poker Network's Cardroom Manager, Rei Venegas: "My stomach needs other things besides alcohol, hamburgers and pizza. I don't want to see any meat again in my whole life. F*ing buffets. Now I see why Americans are so fat". So there you have it. Too much meat.

Celebrity Sightings.
There were several celeb sightings during my stay in Vegas, the first being Sex and the City's Stanford, Carrie's fabulous gay friend. In an effort to catch Stanford for a nice Casino City Times picture, I dragged Alli, Bluff's Office Manager/HBIC, into the main event playing area for the first and last time during my stay in Vegas. We were unsuccessful. The next sighting was Liz Lui at Club Rain, although I had no idea who this sexy and slender Asian beauty was at the time. The Bluff crew explained that she is a poker pro (thank you boys) and that she came to wish Darren, Bluff's Director of Internet Solutions, a very happy birthday. The last celeb sighting, and by far and away the most important, was Todd Leasure, Bluff's Director of Sales and Marketing. Ok, fine...maybe he isn't an actual "celebrity", but he most certainly should be. If you would like the privilege of communicating with this man, and/or if you are interested in some print advertising, go ahead and send him an email- it will make your day.

Lawrence "The Prez" Prezman is Jewish, not Canadian.
For the experience of a lifetime, please have dinner and drinks with Lawrence and Cake Poker's Chris Pettigrew. PLEASE. I BEG OF YOU. You will never laugh so hard in your whole entire life. I'm not sure which one is louder, but I am sure that Chris likes to order rounds of double tequila shots, so watch out. Chris also likes to bust people sneaking back to their room at 10am wearing the same outfit as the night prior, but I won't mention any names. Oh, and just to be clear, Lawrence is Jewish, not Canadian- he might live in Canada, but he has much more in common with Moshe from Jerusalem than he does with his next door neighbor.
