R.I. airport keno proposed
WARWICK, Rhode Island -- As reported by the Providence Journal: "The Rhode Island Lottery has proposed installing Keno machines in shops or restaurants at T.F. Green Airport to increase state revenues.
"The Lottery, which already places Powerball and scratch-ticket kiosks in the state's main airport, says Keno is a logical next step, giving travelers something to do as they wait for flights, while also increasing Lottery sales.
"...Since proposing the move this spring, the Lottery has been awaiting a decision from the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
"...Currently, there are more than 600 Keno locations around Rhode Island, a number of them in bars and restaurants where patrons can sit and watch TV monitors that broadcast Keno numbers..."
