Queensland extends freeze on new poker machines

QUEENSLAND, Australia -- Queensland will freeze new poker machine numbers for another two years, ABC Queensland reported.

The government continues to discuss gambling review recommendations, ABC said.

The government has put community safety ahead of gaming revenue but hopes the freeze will not impact the gambling industry any further, ABC reported.
