Prairie Meadows horse bets go smart and virtual

ALTOONA, Iowa -- You can now use your smartphone, computer and telephone to bet on horses at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, according to the Des Moines Register.The new income will be divided equally between the track and the horsemen, the report said.
It is expected that the ability to place online bets will generate around $400,000 each for both parties, the Des Moines Register report said.
