Power Outage Hits New Resort

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Officials at Wynn Las Vegas are investigating the cause of a power outage that briefly affected the new Strip resort Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for the property said most guests never knew about the outage because a backup power generation system worked flawlessly after the power went out early Tuesday afternoon.
Spokeswoman Denise Randazzo said the power flickered for a few seconds, the backup system engaged and was used for just a few minutes before power was restored.
Wynn Las Vegas opened April 28.
