Police probe $US30-million lottery 'win' in Brazil

NOVO HAMBURGO, Brazil -- Some Brazilian lottery players have had their hopes dashed in discovering their winning ticket had not been registered, according to The Courier-Mail.
The group of 40 players bought their ticket at a shop that did not enter the ticket into the national lottery computer system, The Courier-Mail said.
The shop is facing a fraud charge, the players are considering a lawsuit, the Courier-Mail reported.
