PokerStars to raise funds for disadvantaged children
4 Apr 2018
The five billion Play Money chips guaranteed tournament, in aid of PokerStars global charity partner Right To Play, will take place at 8 p.m. EST on the UN's International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on 6 April. PokerStars will make a $10 donation on behalf of each of the first 5,000 players who sign up to play, with the aim of donating $50,000 to Right To Play. With that money, Right To Play can directly contribute to the education of more than 1,500 disadvantaged children for one year.
Players will be joined at the online felt by a host of PokerStars ambassadors including Fatima Moreira de Melo, Chris Moneymaker, Celina Lin, Barry Greenstein, Jake Cody, Aditya Agarwal and Fintan Hand, who will also be live streaming the tournament on the PokerStars Twitch channel. All PokerStars ambassadors will have five million play chip bounties on their heads. A video of Fintan giving his top tips to succeed in the tournament is available for use online.
The tournament can be found by searching for tournament name 'Right To Play' in the PokerStars tourney lobby.
