PokerStars players determine SCOOP Event 57

(PRESS RELEASE) -- It's time for PokerStars players to decide on the format they would like to feature at this year's Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) from four game variants selected by members of Team PokerStars Pro Online. Jaime Staples, Mikhail Shalamov, Randy Lew and Lex Veldhuis have each put forward a format that they want to be the Players' Choice Event for the SCOOP 2017 schedule. PokerStars players can have their say and cast their vote on PokerStars Facebook page.

The event that secures the most votes by 8 May will be the one played on 22 May 14:00 ET as the last SCOOP event of 2017.

• NLHE Progressive KO: "I believe Progressive Knockouts are the future of tournament poker," said popular Twitch poker broadcaster Jaime Staples. "It adds a layer of complexity and excitement that starts from the very beginning of the tournament."
• NLHE 6-Max Win the Button Turbo: Mikhail Shalamov thinks Win the Button is fun for every player. "This format is great, even when you're not in the hand you get to cheer for other people to win the pot so that you don't have to post big blind."
• NLHE 6-Max Deep Stacks Turbo: High-volume, multi-tabling grinder Randy Lew reckons his format will improve the SCOOP schedule. "A lot of times in tournaments we don't get the option of playing with deep stacks like in cash games, so I'd love to see more deeper stacked tournaments come into play."
• NLHE 6-Max Pot Limit Omaha: Lex Veldhuis, a regular at the biggest online tournaments explains why he has put forward this format. "Pot Limit Omaha is a great game. There is a lot of depth to it. Even when you're short stacked in tournaments, there is a still a lot of room to play. Every street is an all-out war because people can represent so many different hands."

Players can now vote on PokerStars largest ever online series. Voting closes on 8 May at 12:00 ET on PokerStars Facebook page, with the format chosen by the majority of players announced on 8 May.
