PokerStars Live kicks off for 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The PokerStars Live 2018 calendar kicked off with some amazing key events that saw PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold'em Championship Platinum Passes, worth $30,000, awarded to the players. Further key dates added to the PokerStars Live calendar will be revealed today, presenting players with even more opportunities to have a great time, win big and take a shot at winning a $30,000 Platinum Pass.

Players will now have the chance to play in the following PokerStars-sponsored live events:

• PokerStars MEGASTACK Dublin – 19-22 April 2018
• PokerStars MEGASTACK London – 27-29 April 2018
• PokerStars Festival Marbella – 4-10 June 2018
• PokerStars MEGASTACK Gujan-Mestras – 27 June - 1 July 2018
• PokerStars Festival Lille – 16-22 July 2018

New PokerStars MEGASTACK events added
The popular PokerStars MEGASTACK live poker tournament series, which features a €170 Main Event buy-in, will now head to the Regency in Dublin from 19-22 April for the €50,000 guaranteed PokerStars MEGASTACK Dublin. Another event added to the schedule will take place in the U.K. — the PokerStars MEGASTACK London event — which will take place at the iconic The Hippodrome Casino London in London's West End from 27-29 April. The event will guarantee £40,000 and a $30,000 Platinum Pass package to boot for the Main Event winner. Peter Brankin won the first PokerStars MEGASTACK London event of 2018, which ran from 23-25 February. The event featured over 750 entries from four starting flights, which generated a £109,271 total prize pool, making it the biggest PokerStars MEGASTACK ever held in the U.K. or Ireland.

In addition, PokerStars MEGASTACK will also head to Gujan-Mestras, a magical place where incredible vistas and a unique atmosphere combine to create a little piece of paradise situated on the Bay of Arcachon on France's Atlantic coast. This small destination is over 20 miles west of Bordeaux in the Gironde department and will host PokerStars MEGASTACK Gujan-Mestras from 27 June - 1 July. PokerStars Festival Marabella and Lille
Last year, Ignacio López de Maturana won the PokerStars Festival Marbella Main Event, topping a field of 949 total entries, taking home €152,000 and the trophy. This marked a new record of participation for the popular stop. This year from 4-10 June, many more players will join the throng to enjoy a wonderful poker experience at a great beachfront location.

France and Lille's stunning Casino Barriere welcomes PokerStars Festival from 16-22 July, enticing players from across the region and beyond. Further information about this event can be found online. Six highly coveted Platinum Passes will be awarded across these two events.
