PokerStars hands out huge WCOOP wins

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is well underway at PokerStars.com, the flagship brand of The Stars Group, with more than half of the $60 million guarantee paid out in prize money already. This year, the Low stakes series offers players plenty of value with a guarantee of $11 million alone and buy-ins ranging from $11 to $530, but there are even more ways to play and win big for low outlay, including special edition WCOOP Spin & Gos and Stars Rewards WCOOP tickets.

These WCOOP Spin & Gos award seats to the most prestigious WCOOP tournaments and include the $5,200 Main Event with $10,000,000 guaranteed on Sunday, 24 September at 14:00 ET and the $25,000 High-Roller event on Thursday, 21 September at 15:00 ET.

WCOOP Spin & Gos have so far seen 36 players win a seat to the $5,200 Main Event and three players win a $25,000 High Roller seat.

Annasse10 won two WCOOP tickets via the Special Edition Spin & Gos to the value of $55 each and also unlocked a $215 WCOOP ticket from a Stars Rewards Chest, which was used to buy into the 14-H Bubble Rush, Long Day 2 securing $846, their biggest ever PokerStars cash.

"I chose tournaments with the biggest prize pool the days I could play," said Annasse10. "It is always a pleasure to participate in such events, with a little more luck I could have gone further in the tournament."

To date, a total of 6,970 WCOOP tickets have been awarded through Stars Rewards with a value of $516,882 and 2,149 players from more than 60 countries have used these tickets to play for their part of the $60 million prize pool. Stars Rewards Chests have awarded 50 tickets to the 79-H $5,200 Main Event.

AlbertoC from Argentina unlocked a $530 WCOOP ticket in a Chest and bought into 02-H Sunday Warm-Up, netting a tidy $875. The player, who usually plays in the Low events, loves to play WCOOP because "of the great prizes."

Stars Rewards is giving away $700,000 worth of WCOOP tickets and with over a week to go just under half of the tickets remain to be found. The individual values of the WCOOP tickets being given away inside Stars Rewards Chests range from $11 up to $5,200.
