PokerStars celebrates Sunday Million 14th anniversary

(PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars’ prestigious Sunday Million tournament will celebrate its 14th anniversary on 22 March 2020 at 13:00 ET with $12.5 million guaranteed, marking the biggest guarantee and prize pool for a single event on PokerStars ever.

The event will have a $215 buy-in, and players can win their way to the iconic anniversary tournament for much less via satellites starting at less than $1. There will also be a late-registration period of 24 hours, giving players extra time to sign up.

The Sunday Million tournament launched on 6 March 2006 and remains the world’s biggest $1 million guaranteed weekly poker tournament. The first tournament attracted 5,893 players, a total prize pool of $1,178,600, and was won by ‘aaaaaaaa’ from Canada for $173,843.50.
