PokerStars announces Asia poker schedule

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) will head to Korea and the Philippines for two glittering events, PokerStars has announced.

APPT Korea will take place from 5-15 April at Paradise City Resort and Casino in the Incheon complex, The KRW 1,800,000 buy-in Main Event, starting 11 April will feature a KRW 300,000,000 guarantee, with other event highlights including:

• APPT Korea Kick Off - 5-6 April 2019 – Buy-in KRW 350,000 (KRW 50 million GTD)
• APPT Korea National - 7-8 April 2019 - Buy-in KRW 700,000 (KRW 80 million GTD)
• APPT Korea High Roller - 13-14 April 2019 – Buy-in KRW 5,000,000

Meanwhile in the Philippines, Manila will play host to the APPT from 26 July to 4 August. Last year’s APPT Manila saw Marc Rivera take down the National Main Event for around $86,000 and a Platinum Pass, which he turned in to $2,168,000 after finishing in third place at the PSPC earlier this month. This year’s event will be held at Okada Manila, the official home of PokerStars LIVE Manila, and will feature the PHP 65,000 buy-in Main Event starting 1 August, with PHP 20 million guaranteed. Further events include:

• APPT Manila Kick Off - 26-27 July 2019 – Buy-in PHP 16,000 (PHP 3 million GTD)
• APPT Manila National- 28-29 July 2019 – Buy-in PHP 33,000 (PHP 5 million GTD)

PokerStars Live at Okada Manila will be officially opened with a ribbon cutting session plus food and drink for players on 9 February at 6 p.m. during the first ever Okada Manila Millions. The Millions tournament will take place from 5-10 February, featuring 13 events including the PHP 2,500 buy-in Main Event with PHP 2 million guaranteed and PHP 500,000 guaranteed for first place running from 6-10 February, and the PHP 3,000 buy-in NLH Deepstack kick-starting the event with PHP 200,000 guaranteed.
