PokerStars and Full Tilt extend partnership with Right To Play

(PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars.com and Full Tilt, Amaya Inc. brands, have announced their corporate giving program, Helping Hands, will be extending its partnership with Right To Play for a second consecutive year.

Right To Play is a global organization that uses the educational power of sports, games and play to provide disadvantaged children and young people in over 20 countries around the world with learning, health and social skills to overcome the effects of poverty, disease and war.

Extending this partnership for a further 12 months will provide an additional donation of £300,000 ($464,267), which will go towards training another 2,500 volunteer coaches throughout the world. Following this extension in total, this partnership will have helped to transform the lives of over 400,000 children throughout the world. Over the past 12 months, PokerStars staff and players boosted the Amaya donation by fundraising a further £100,000 ($153,42), showing the compassion and generosity of the poker community.

Europe’s richest and most popular poker tour, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT), will support Right To Play with special charity tournaments planned for upcoming stops. Team PokerStars Pros and partnership ambassadors Jake Cody, Leo Margets and Fatima Moreira de Melo recently witnessed how much of a difference Right To Play makes in children's lives during a trip to Uganda.

"I am incredibly grateful that I am in a position to be able to help Right To Play; it has been an honor to work with them and help such a great cause. Being a father myself, the trip to Uganda really touched me, beyond words. I now share a passion and hope we can all continue the amazing work," said Jake Cody, a Team PokerStars Pro and Right To Play partnership ambassador.

PokerStars players can support Right To Play by donating their FPPs through the PokerStars VIP store. For every 1,200 FPPs donated by a player, PokerStars will make a $20 donation to the charity.
