PokerManager uses Vivox technology

RAMINGHAM, Massachusetts -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Vivox, Inc. and Alpha Innovations AS announced today that Alpha Innovations' new online poker community and poker software, PokerManager, will include high quality, integrated communication tools and voice chat from Vivox.

Alpha Innovations AS is a privately held company headquartered in Norway that was founded in 2007 by a seasoned group of investors and industry specialists with professional poker players and European Poker Tour champions Bjørn-Erik Glenne and Peter Jepsen. PokerManager is free-to-download and use. It is intended for both online and offline poker players with a host of poker resources that include vast tournament archives, published tips and poker tools, an incomparable video library with more than 20,000 hours of footage, plus a community element with blogs, profiles and live voice chat and much more. PokerManager is set to launch with availability in eleven languages on September 15, 2007.

Vivox will provide PokerManager with customized voice, presence and IM communication services that are integrated with the online portal. Players and community members will be able to talk with friends, through the integrated user interface with either IM text or the rich voice tools. All voice communication will be hosted and managed by Vivox to ensure user quality, reliability and scalability for the global community.
