PokerLoco.com Sponsors Swedish Sports Groups

SWEDEN – (PRESS RELEASE) – PokerLoco.com will continuously sponsor Swedish sports associations and their main supporter clubs during 2006. 15 per cent of the net revenue from the Swedish market will be given to Swedish sports. The sponsoring does not require any undertakings at all from the sponsored associations.

The Swedish sports associations do a great job working with young people in Sweden. It is therefore important that everybody who can really does contribute to the different sports associations. PokerLoco has chosen to sponsor team sports since it teaches the importance of cooperation, says Stefan Mahlstein.

To begin with PokerLoco will sponsor the football clubs in the Premier-Division and their main supporter clubs. Starting from March 1, AIK, Djurgården, Elfsborg, GAIS, Gefle, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Hammarby, Häcken, IFK Göteborg, Kalmar FF, Malmö FF, Örgryte och Öster will be sponsored. Later this year other team sports, such as ice hockey, bandy, handball and basketball will also be included in the sponsorship.

PokerLoco wants to show that privately owned gambling companies really can be a serious alternative to the Swedish state monopoly. So far there has only been a lot of talking about private companies contributing to society. PokerLoco acts. Stefan Mahlstein continues.
