PokerHeaven.com Runs Qualifiers for British Poker Open
UNITED KINGDOM – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Leading online poker room, PokerHeaven.com, has started running exclusive qualifiers for the 2006 British Poker Open, to be filmed in London in March. This prestigious tournament was founded in 2005 and with players such as Greg Raymer, Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson, Howard Lederer and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot competing in it's maiden year – the 2006 event promises to be even bigger and better.
The 2005 British Poker Open was won by online American qualifier Adam Djumovic, who not only walked away with the title – but a first prize of almost £100,000. Poker Heaven are now sending players to the BPO from as little as $2 – not bad for a $7,000 prize package. This includes a £3,000 buy-in to the No Limit Hold'em Freezeout tournament – as well as $1600 for travel expenses.
With each heat being filmed exclusively on the Poker Channel, Sky Channel 265, the British Poker Open is widely regarded as one of the biggest poker tournaments to be taking place in 2006, and with the excellent production standards that come with The Poker Channel, it not only makes for an exciting tournament – but compelling television.
