The third-anniversary celebration, Saturday-Sunday, May 19-20, will feature another cash promotion, the Anniversary Hot Seat. All players entered in a live game who have not missed any blinds will be eligible to win a share of $7,200, or $100 every 20 minutes from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Each winner will be randomly computer selected based on their seat. The anniversary cake will be served at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19.
The Pala Memorial Day Weekend River Card Classic will be a holiday series of five tournaments, three “guaranteed,” that will include the Fifth Pala River Card Quest for the Cup at noon, Sunday, May 27. That tournament, which has a $20,000 estimated prize pool, is sponsored by the River Card, Inc., clothing company, which markets a line of casual poker wear throughout the U.S. The name of each River Card Tournament winner is engraved on the four-foot-tall traveling trophy and each winner receives a replica of the trophy with first-place prize money. River Card sponsors a full schedule of poker tournaments at casinos and poker rooms throughout Southern California.

Thursday, May 24, 7 p.m., No Limit Hold’em, $65 + $15, $5,000 in starting chips; $5 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips; 20-minute blinds, $5,000 guarantee; $50 add-on 6k in chips; $25 re-buy 3k in chips.
Friday, May 25, 7 p.m., No Limit Hold’em Knockout Bounties, $125 + $25, $8,000 in starting chips; $10 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips; 25-minute blinds, $10,000 guarantee.
Saturday, May 26, noon, No Limit Hold’em Battle of the Sexes, $100 + $25, $8,000 in starting chips; $10 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips; 25-minute blinds; $5,000 estimated prize pool.
Sunday, May 27, noon, No Limit Hold’em River Card Quest for the Cup, $120 + $30; $15,000 in starting chips; $10 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $5,000 in starting chips; 25-minute blinds, $20,000 estimated prize pool.
Monday, May 28, noon, No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry, $55 + $15; $5,000 in starting chips; $5 optional staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in starting chips; 20-minute blinds; $5,000 guarantee.
The Daily Chase for the Dough will start at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, May 1. Players will share $600 every day until midnight, Thursday, May 31, a total of $16,200 for the month. The promotion will not be in play on May 18, 19, 20 and 30. Players can win $10 for three hours of play; $20 for five hours and $50 for eight hours each day. Hours can be cashed at any time after a player has met any one of the three cash tiers. When accumulated hours are cashed out, the player’s hours return to zero. Cash-outs will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Players will be responsible for clocking in on live games and to know when they have reached specific cash-out tiers.
An added feature for May will be free poker lessons starting at 9 a.m. each Tuesday and Saturday. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m.
