Playtech shares soar after BetFair deal

LONDON, England -- As reported by Gaming Intelligence: "Shares of gaming technology provider Playtech Limited climbed more than 10 percent Tuesday as the company announced an agreement to serve as the exclusive downloadable casino software provider to Betfair, the world's leading online betting exchange.

"In what it described as a major new licence agreement for the company, Playtech will provide Betfair with its downloadable online casino product which will sit alongside Betfair's existing instant play casino, expanding the gaming options available to Betfair customers via a fully integrated solution.

Additionally, Playtech will also serve as the bingo software provider to Betfair TV, the company's free-to-air interactive gaming platform.
