Playtech licensees pay out 5 million pounds in jackpots

15 Jul 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- A series of progressive jackpots on Playtech's highest performing slot games have dropped in just seven days, resulting in payouts of more than £5 million across a trio of licensees.

Jackpot history has been rewritten with a handful of regular players on Coral Bingo and Gala Bingo and BGO Casino striking gold on popular Playtech slots including Beach Life, Chests of Plenty, Adventures in Wonderland, Leprechaun's Luck and branded favorite Gladiator.

The jackpot domino rally began last week with a Coral Bingo player discovering £120,000 at the end of the rainbow on classic slot game Leprechaun's Luck.

This was swiftly followed on Monday, July 6, when a Midlands-based U.K. player, username ‘Hilton77’, surfed up a gigantic £3.7m jackpot win on Beach Life. This was the second largest of its kind in Playtech’s 16-year history, while the game also holds the record for the company’s largest ever Jackpot win of £4.4m in February 2012.

Just 48 hours later yet another Playtech progressive fell, this time on Gala Bingo with a player plundering a £450,000 jackpot on Chests of Plenty and, before anyone had time to draw breath, yet another Gala player claimed the top prize on Playtech favourite Adventures in Wonderland.

A number of other prizes were also won across the sites during the seven-day period bringing the grand total of progressive pay outs to more than £5m – both a Playtech and an industry record.

Records, however, are there to be broken and Playtech’s casino licensees can expect far more winners with three progressive jackpots of more than £1m expected to drop any day. This includes Monty Python's Spamalot! (£1.8m); Jackpot Giant (£1.6m); and Funky Fruits (£1.1m).

Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, said: “To have so many progressives fall is incredible and we’re delighted, but it’s not unusual with the quality and range of best performing slots we have within our industry-leading casino offering.

“Playtech licensees benefit from the biggest and best jackpots and progressive games in the industry. We continue to build, innovate and invest in our omni-channel content to ensure they consistently perform to the highest standards and that we remain market leaders and casino pioneers.”

Playtech is the world’s leading omni-channel gaming software and services supplier and has more than 500 slot and casino titles available via its casino portfolio and many more through its open platform integration.
