Player appreciation weekend event with $100,000 guarantee Delaware Poker Championship IV event at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

DOVER, Delaware -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino is proud to host the Delaware Poker Championship IV $100,000.00 Guarantee Tournament (DPC IV) on Saturday, Aug. 30 beginning at 11:15 a.m. in the Crown Royal Poker Room. The buy-in is $500, and preregistration is available in the Poker Room.

“We are turning Championship weekend into Player Appreciation weekend,” said Pete McGuire, Poker Room manager. “Our poker players have been terrific and I want to reward their loyalty with four big tournaments where the entire buy-in goes into the prize pool. On championship weekend the poker room will have a “no fees” tournament for every level of player from a $35 buy-in to a $500 buy-in.”

This year, surrounding the DPC IV tournament are several pre- and post-event tournaments. “On Friday August 29, there will be a tournament with a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $200 buy-in,” said McGuire. “On Saturday the Delaware Championship will be played which has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $500 buy-in. Sunday’s tournament has a $100 buy-in and a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. On Monday everybody gets to play because the buy-in is only $35 and the prize pool is guaranteed to be at least $3500. There will be something for everybody.

Multi-table satellites will be held on Aug. 25, Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 at 7:15 p.m. with a $55 buy in. One in every 10 participants will win a $500 seat into the Aug. 30 DPC IV tournament. Single table satellites will be available and occur at any time with a minimum of 10 participants to win a $500 seat into the DPC IV tournament.

The enormously popular, monthly $25,000 guaranteed tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 11:15 a.m. with a $199 buy-in.
