PKR introduces social games in Europe

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Online poker site PKR.com is set to give its four million strong poker community even more chances to meet the faces behind the avatars as it launches the 'PKR Social', a new series of fun and friendly events.

'PKR Socials' will be held across the UK and Europe, with the first event taking place in Manchester on the 26 February. One hundred lucky players will get to attend a drinks reception followed by an evening of mixed martial arts at the BAMMA 5 bout featuring Tom 'Kong' Watson at the MEN Arena.

The second PKR Social will draw inspiration from the popular PKR Live events. Held on the 25 and 26 March, the Fox Poker Club in London will play host to some fun and friendly poker action. The Friday night will be a return to the 'Sit & Go Madness', where players get the chance to try out some crazy and unusual poker games in a party atmosphere, while the Saturday will be a 150 runner $100 buy-in tournament, with side games running as well.

PKR Community Manager and TV commentator Dan 'Danski' Grant commented "The PKR community has been holding unofficial social events around the globe for years now, and we really wanted to get more involved with the players at that personal level. PKR Socials will give players the chance to meet, socialize and continue the banter off the felt. Each PKR Social will be slightly different and over the year will feature everything from golf days to pool tournaments, poker nights to pub quizzes. They should be a blast."
