PKR holding live satellites in Ireland

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The PKR.com World Poker Tour Ireland is running a series of over 200 live poker satellites in 26 different cities across the Emerald Isle - giving players the chance to win a €2,500 seat for the internationally known poker tournament. The live satellites run from October through to December all over Ireland. The PKR.com WPT Ireland will be held at the luxurious Citywest Hotel in Dublin, running from Thursday, 5 January through to Sunday, 8 January 2012.

How to qualify live to win a seat

Playing a live satellite is easy: There are around 200 local and 12 regional satellites (4 per month) across the country. The winning players of the local tournaments will get a seat to their nearest monthly regional tournament. Finally the winners of the regional events win a seat to the PKR.com WPT Ireland in Dublin.

Local satellites

All local poker tournaments will be held in pubs or poker rooms all over Ireland. The Buy-in for each event will vary. Each player who wins a local satellite will get a seat to a monthly regional tournament.

Regional tournaments

The regional poker tournaments are the last station before the PKR.com WPT Ireland. All players who win a local event will play one of the monthly regional events, which are taking place in key locations across the country.

25th November: Plaza Hotel, Dundalk and Healy’s Café Bar, Charlestown, Co Mayo

26th November: The Sidepot, Cavan

27th November: Regency Hotel, Dublin

2nd December: The Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon, Leitrim

4th December: Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick

The PKR.com WPT Experience Package

For all players who play the local or regional satellites, PKR.com gives away tickets to the WPT Dublin nights online qualification tournaments at ww.pkr.com: Every live tournament participant gets one ticket to the online tournament PKR.com WPT Experience Package Stage 2.
