PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam debuts on Sky TV

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Coverage of the inaugural PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam starts today on Sky Sports with eight action-packed episodes to be shown over the next two months.

Produced by Matchroom Sport, the first episode airs tonight at 22:00 GMT and promises exciting footage from first round match ups of the event. Going head to head are:

Luke 'Full Flush' Schwartz vs. WCOOP champion Yevgeniy Timoshenko

Tom "Durrrr" Dwan vs. WSOP heads-up runner-up John Duthie

WSOPE champ Annette Obrestad vs. Ian Frazer

Lex Veldhuis vs. Poker Pack veteran Nam Le

An amazing line-up of 32 of the world's best poker players made it to the invitational held in London in October last year. Upcoming episodes will feature the likes of JC Tran, Roland de Wolfe, Antonio Esfandiari, Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott, Neil Channing, Juha Helppi, Tony G, Peter Eastgate, Vicky Coren, PKR Team Pros James 'james666' Sudworth and Vladimir 'beyne' Geshkenbein, alongside a few lucky qualifiers.

Each two-hour programme will be repeated on Sky Sports at least twice – giving viewers more opportunity to catch a time slot which suits them. Highlights will also be made available at a later date on PKR.com's dedicated web channel PKR.tv.
